Small Hands, Big Impact
Small Hands, Big Impact
This Friday, a group of bright and energetic indigenous Taiwanese kids visited Taipei, and I had the pleasure of teaching them about a necessary life skill: hand-washing!!
We talked about soap and germs, but most importantly, why hand-washing matters. Having clean hands not only protects you, but it also helps keep your friends and family safe, too. A girl asked, "So if I wash my hands, I'm helping my whole family as well?" The kids got it right away!
It was a small lesson, but I learned that helping others can start with something as small as teaching them how to wash their hands thoroughly. Seeing those kids scrubbing their hands while laughing with each other reminded me of how significant a little action can be.
Seeing all the germs on our hands under a UV light!
Discussing with each other on the importance of hand-washing!
Pepper and soap!
Such a fun time together!
