Walk for Refugees!

It was time for our Walk for Refugees walkthon again!! I was really excited to be part of the W4R event, and it was an experience that taught me a lot of things. As Head Officer of Publicity, I led my team of art lovers in making promotional posters and stories/posts on our social media account @walk4refugees. This year, we are raising funds for refugees in South Sudan and Ukraine who have been displaced by war and conflicts.

It was great to see all of the people who showed up on the day of the event on 4/25/2025. The walkathon was more than just fundraising and spreading awareness, but to truly show our dedication to how Taiwan Can Help! I was really happy and proud to see the impact that we had created, especially with the amount of classmates, friends, and families that showed up on the day.

This amazing experience taught me that leadership isn't about being in charge, but to actually use the resources that I have to inspire action among my peers. It also showed me how communication can bring a lot of change and allow people to be united for a common goal. Most importantly, it reinforced my belief in the importance of advocating for and helping others. Can't wait to see you guys out there next year!!
