Nothing Holding Me Back
Nothing Holding Me Back
Actually, I haven't been a hundred percent honest about my past. Now, let me tell you the whole story.
I was already known as a child prodigy at a very young age. Everything was going amazingly for me. Getting first place in tests and competitions was a piece of cake for me. I'm not trying to brag or anything, but I also had a very nice personality. And that led people to be jealous of me. To them, I had the perfect life. But they did not know that my parents were going through tough times. They didn't agree on everything, especially things that concerned my future.
So, one night after a huge fight with my mom, my father got into a car crash. A car crash that took away his life. The police claimed that he had died because he didn't see the traffic lights, but my mom and I both knew that it was because of his terrible mood. Ever since the incident, my mom tried her best to take care of me. And I was really thankful for her, but it was just really not an easy thing to go through life without a father in my life.
And I guess that was the reason why my grades weren't as high as before. Because of that, I got into a pretty nice college, but it wasn't MIT or Harvard or Stanford or any of the schools I could've gotten into if it hadn't been for my dad. And that led to me getting this job at the laboratory. Even though I actually like my job really much, I just feel like I could've gotten a better life than the one I have right now.
Thinking back now, I would do anything to go back to my old life and not get stuck here with the Siephriers and that sly fox who betrayed me.

Fabulous work
