Plague of Hush: The Interview

 "Mr. Campbell! Mr. Campbell, are you with me?" the secretary of Roely Enterprises asked. Adrian had been dreaming about his amazing future once he got the job. "Yes, pardon. You were saying?" Adrian asked. "I was asking if you had any record of bad habits, like stealing or others?" the secretary asked. She does not have a lot of patience, does she? thought Mr. Campbell to himself. He hesitated when answering this question. He knows that he stole things in his past jobs, but is it appropriate for him to say it now? Before the interview to his dream job? 

It was now or never. He couldn't bear this anymore. He said the truth. The secretary crossed her eyebrows for a second, checking her wallet on the table. Adrian took a deep breath. He did the right thing. "Follow me to the interview room, please," the secretary said after she shook her head for a second. 

They arrived at the room. Adrian could see a man sitting inside the white and bare room.
