My First Experience with a Retired Guide Dog, Hana
This is Hana.
I started my fabulous journey with her in August 2021. The reason Hana came to live with us is to let my family and I have the basic concepts on how to teach and train a guide dog. Since Hana has been trained before, she was really obedient and didn't bark much in her two weeks living with us.
We first started by giving her simple commands and seeing how she responded to them. For example, when we said "Sit," Hana would sit down and stay there until she receives a second command.
Hana let me realize how hard and tough it is for a labrador to become a guide dog. Hana has learned and mastered all of the commands available and is now enjoying her retired life. Wish her well!
Although Hana is a properly trained guide dog, that doesn't mean that she doesn't know how to have fun and play. We bought a few toys for Hana, and she reacted pretty well with the different toys I chose for her. Just like in a movie, Hana responded to a ball I threw by chasing the ball and bringing it back to me. It was enjoyable for me to spend quality time with Hana.

Hana looks very smart and responsible!!! Such a great doggy :))
