Chapter III The Truth
After finding his father's dead body, Thale was terrified and didn't know what to do. He checked his father's pulse, nothing. The world in his eyes was supposed to be happy and full of hope, no pain or anything he didn't like. But now, he realized how cruel the world is, how unfair it is.
He couldn't call the police, they never do anything to help ordinary citizens; he couldn't just leave his father there, rotting to death; he couldn't tell any of his neighbors, each one of them could be the murderer, or worse, a tattletale, making sure that everyone knows his father's death.
Suddenly, the lights turned off, the house fell down. The sky darkened. Walls fell apart. Thale tried to run, but it was no use, the house fell too quickly. With the blink of his eye, lights were turned on once more.
He saw people, not the people in his community, people he didn't know. One of them exclaimed, "Cut! Amazing scene, Kenny! You are simply fabulous on the stage."
The life Thale had known his whole life was a scam. It was all fake, entertainment for other people, people he didn't even know.
