Chapter II: The Tragedy
Twenty years later, the boy had grown into a handsome and strong young man. "Dad! I'm home!" called Thale, preferably known as the boy. Turns out, when Thale spotted the Loner twenty years ago, he had decided to adopt the boy. The Loner was now his father.
Within time, the Loner had created quite an impression on the other families living on Lavigia. He created the first known methods for farming on Mars, and he also developed the only way for people to walk on the Martian ground without having to wear ten layers of protection from the deadly radiation.
Thale called his father a second time, still, there was no response. "That's strange. Father should be coming to meet me at this moment," thought Thale to himself.
He walked cautiously from the front entrance to his father's library. His father loved reading all kinds of books, and sometimes writing them, too. Their house was enormous for families of this time. From the front door, a long hallway led people to various rooms. The first room insight would be Thale's study, a room filled with his schoolwork and his books, to be exact. Next came his bedroom, a bit larger than his study, filled with toys the Loner had bought him when he was still small. Then it was his father's library. He pushed the door open, "Ahhhhhhh!" he screamed.
His father, the Loner, was dead, murdered.
